Facebook advertising is currently on the rise. Over 6 million businesses use Facebook ads to reach their target audience (Facebook, 2019) – this is a 2 million increase since 2016. Facebook advertisements also consistently ranks as the number 1 social advertising channel for both B2B and B2C businesses. If Facebook advertising isn’t a part of your marketing plan, it should be.
A super-easy first step you can take towards Facebook advertising is adding a Facebook pixel to your website. If you’re confused, don’t worry! This blog will tell you what a pixel is and how to add it to your website. So, let’s get started!
According to Facebook, “When someone visits your website and takes an action (for example, buying something), the Facebook pixel is triggered and reports this action. This way, you'll know when a customer took an action after seeing your Facebook ad. You'll also be able to reach this customer again by using a custom audience. When more and more conversions happen on your website, Facebook gets better at delivering your ads to people who are more likely to take certain actions. This is called conversion optimization.”
Even if you currently aren’t using Facebook ads, the pixel will still work and collect data so that when you’re ready to start, you won’t have to face any roadblocks!
